WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade items.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item level upgrade used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible level on all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another important modification is that crests have one usage therefore it's essential to use them wisely. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades.
