Choosing a Double Pushchair Twin

If you have twins, you need a double pushchair to take them from A to B. Our range includes twin prams and buggies that can be configured in different ways to suit your requirements.

Side-by-Side

They are the most commonly used type of double pushchair that generally can seat two children side-by-side. They tend to be bigger than single pushchairs. This makes them less maneuverable on footpaths. It is also difficult to maneuver through kerbs with the car seat is in place. However the extra width means that they're often a lot more comfortable to maneuver through doorways and are distributed more evenly making them easier on your back.

Many models can be used from birth as twin prams for sale and accept a carrycot, or two car seats. Some models can be converted into a single mode with a basket to the side (like the Cybex Venus).

The large shopping basket that is behind the seat can be used in mono mode for one child. It has both front and rear suspensions, so it can handle bumps and uneven surfaces more easily. Tandem

If you plan to have twins you will require a tandem pushchair stroller. This allows each child to sit and interact with each other. They are ideal for trips to the zoo as the children can watch the animals together. These are also great for parents who want to watch both their toddler and their baby simultaneously.

Some tandem pushchairs provide ultra flexibility since they can be converted back to single mode. This is particularly beneficial when you are planning to have more children than two (or when your oldest child does not require an extra buggy). This will prevent you from having to store an empty buggy, which can be expensive.

The Cybex Venus, for example, can be used either in mono or double mode. Its frame can expand to accommodate an additional seat. This isn't the lightest of pushchairs, however it comes with a large shopping basket that sits behind the front seat when in double mode (and behind the seat when it's mono mode). The seats can either be placed in a way that they face each the other or higher to be able to see what the other is doing.

They are sleek and compact frame that makes it easier to maneuver through doorways and aisles in supermarkets, and some models can be used as a jogging or stroller on rough terrain, thanks to a four-wheel suspension as well as large rear wheels.

Another advantage of a tandem pushchair is that it can include two carrycots, or a car seat, and a buggy seat. This allows you to build a travel system from the outset and save money on separate purchases. Remember that tandems are heavier and longer, and they may appear less stable when bumping up kerbs or navigating uneven surfaces. They also need dismantling to fit into cars.
